Leo Software Shakes Up Real Estate Software Market with Free Version of Stacking Plan Application
Free:LeoTM gives property managers graphic look at tenant data
First in a series of free applications and resources to be available through LeoBlvd.com
Elk Grove Village, Ill., June 4, 2007 – Leo Software, a provider of property information management systems for commercial real estate, today began offering a free version of its unique stacking plan application. The new Free:LeoTM Stacking Plan is available exclusively through the company’s recently launched LeoBlvd.com online portal for the commercial real estate industry.
The Free:Leo Stacking Plan gives users a key component of Leo Software’s core technology. Like the version included in the full Leo Software suite, the Free:Leo Stacking Plan graphically portrays the status of vacancies and leases, color-coding each suite within a building to show deadlines and action dates. The stacking plan provides an at-a-glance barometer for property managers, asset managers and owners. Stacking plans created with the Free:Leo application may be emailed or saved as graphic images for use in other documents.
“The Internet economy has created the expectation among users for free functionality,” said Leo President Paul Muessig. “Google, MapQuest, even the Weather Channel – they’re all giving away a lot of value through their free online applications. So why pay for it, if you can get it for free?”
“Starting with the Stacking Plan, our Free:Leo applications will help commercial real estate companies take a bite out of their IT costs,” said Muessig, with a metaphorical nod to the company’s “Leo the Dog” mascot. “We have a mission to get people their data. By providing a free application that delivers immediate value to commercial real estate professionals, we’re making it easy for people to gain new insights from their data, make better decisions and manage their properties more effectively.”
The Free:Leo Stacking Plan is a secure, Web-hosted application that is accessible from any standard Web browser (such as Internet Explorer). Each registered user’s data is securely stored on Leo’s dedicated servers at Rackspace, the hosting industry leader, for instant access from any browser-equipped, Internet-connected computer
In creating a distribution strategy for the Free:Leo Stacking Plan and subsequent Free:Leo applications, the company decided to use its LeoBlvd.com site, which it launched recently to serve as a multi-faceted resource for the commercial real estate industry.
LeoBlvd.com offers information, advice, links to relevant resources and organizations, plus an array of engaging content such as contests, user-submitted favorites, a blog and other entertaining features.
Commercial real estate professionals may register to use the Free:Leo Stacking Plan by visiting www.LeoBlvd.com/stackingplan.

Program offers leading commercial real estate software and other resources to college and university programs across the nation, free of charge
Elk Grove Village, Ill., March 19, 2007 – Leo Software, a provider of business intelligence systems for commercial real estate, today launched Leo Goes to College, a program offering Leo Software to commercial real estate undergraduate and graduate programs across the country, as well as to professionals during their first year in commercial real estate.
"I’ve been amazed at how quickly students and recent graduates learn the commercial real estate business when you provide them with a tool like Leo. We want to help them hit the ground running, get jobs and make immediate contributions to the industry,” said Paul Muessig, president, Leo Software. “We’re also focused on helping employers attract talented young people to the industry and fill the void of the lost generation from the early 1990s.”
In addition to offering complementary Leo Software licenses, Leo Software is also making its in-house property and asset management and other commercial real estate expertise available for guest lectures on a case by case basis. The Leo Software user network spans some of the largest and most well respected organizations within commercial real estate, and in some cases, Muessig also plans to tap Leo Software’s user group to find practicing property managers, asset managers and other professionals to participate in the Leo Software guest lecture program.
Johns Hopkins University, Baltimore, MD, recently invited Muessig to address a class of commercial real estate students. The program is a leader in advocating the early adoption and application of emerging commercial real estate technology to position its students for efficiency and success in the workplace.
“The students particularly enjoyed hearing Paul’s war stories based on his extensive experience in commercial real estate in such areas as investing and asset management,” said Robert Rajewski, MS, a graduate instructor at The Edward St John Department of Real Estate in the Carey Business School. “He also extended free access to Leo Software to the students interested in using the tool.”
Colleges and universities interested in offering Leo Software as part of their program’s resources should send those requests to college@leosoftware.net. Other commercial real estate professionals still getting their feet wet in the industry can email firstyear@leosoftware.net to request a complimentary one-year Leo Software single user license – a $479 value – for anyone still in their first year in the commercial real estate business. There is also something for Established commercial real estate professionals who visit LeoBlvd.com; they can access a Free Leo Stacking Plan application.

Built in 1925, the Guaranty Building is the second downtown West Palm Beach property in NCP Investments' portfolio. The recently renovated tower is a local landmark. Quinn says his firm specializes in what he calls "opportunistic development" in major urban markets. Projects include both commercial and residential properties.
